Building
We strive to make the Library as accessible as possible. Ramps, automatic doors, spacious aisles, accessible washrooms, and an elevator to the lower level ensure that our building is accessible to those with mobility concerns. Parking is available on the street in front of the Library for those with permits.
Mobile Service
At-home service is available for those who cannot access the library due to medical or mobility reasons. Books can be delivered to your home through the help of Volunteer Drivers. Please contact Library Staff to sign up for this service, or if you wish to volunteer.
Vision Services
Large print and audiobooks, and a Daisy Reader with CDs are available for our readers with vision concerns. The Library also collaborates with the Center for Equitable Library Access to assist patrons who would like to sign up for their services.
For computer users, we provide in-library use of a Macbook with screen-reading software, and a large-type keyboard for use at our Patron PCs.
The Library website is compliant with AODA – WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and offers tools to enhance and enlarge font, improve contrast, and enable screen-reading software to easily read content.
If you require any additional services, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
